Sharon was by far the best coordinator ever! From beginning to the end she was always there to assist. We booked Vezalay back in October 2019. She showed me around the venue in December and would check in on me on a monthly basis. Despite the rain on my wedding day, she made sure everything ran as smooth as possible. Also, her husband Dan is the best! I wanted a hexagon Arch and Sharon and Dan offered to build it. It came out beautiful! I would highly recommend Sharon for your wedding! Thank you Sharon and Dan!

It was magical! The wedding we hosted there, was Sunday, November 14, 2021. We could NOT have had a better venue and all around experience!
Sharon McMillan was a god send! She knows her stuff! Working with her made everything so easy, because she knew how it works! She was available to walk me through things, she gave me advice on questions I had and ALWAYS with patience, even though I KNOW she had other clients she was also working with. She and her husband, Dan, were priceless in their help! They both jumped in when and where needed, most of the time not even being asked… they just KNEW!
The experience would NOT have been the same, with anyone else being in that role!
Vezalay, itself, is phenomenal! The event center, with that view… indescribable…perfect backdrop for an elegant, romantic wedding! The Cottage, which thankfully we had rented for the night of the 14th, was a wonderful place to get ready, and stage things. We were all able to change clothes after the reception, before breaking down the event center decor, etc. The kids spent the night in the cottage, and it was nice to just be right there, since they had friends staying at the Limelight, they were not rushed to actually “get away”.
The whole experience was fantastic! I will not hesitate to recommend Vezalay, mostly because you have the option of a DIY ( too expensive to hire a company to do it all) , AND the fact that Sharon is there to oversee. Those 2 factors are what convinced me to use Vezalay.

Good evening, my name is Heather and I was Claire and Alex Eng's photographer at the Vezalay on February 5th. I worked with Sharon that evening and I have to say - she is one of (if not THE) best coordinators I have ever worked with. Everything went so smoothly that evening - and usually at least one thing doesn't go according to plan. It was the easiest wedding I've ever shot thanks to Sharon. Even when things were rushed a crazy, she kept a smile on her face and went with the flow, which makes everything work out so well in the end. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a day of coordinator, anywhere.

What a majestic day for my daughter’s wedding at Vezalay! The view definitely sells the venue. It is just gorgeous. However, after touring the venue with Doug, I totally misunderstood the process and had already signed a contract. Once I realized my confusion, I emailed Doug immediately freaking out. He did not respond to me, but Sharon McMillan from This is the Moment Events called me within five minutes. She literally talked me off a ledge and began helping me that very day make this wedding happen. This could not have happened without Sharon and her husband. She is the reason why weddings are successful at Vezalay. Sharon has a heart so big, and goes above and beyond to ensure that her bride has a perfect day. She truly loves what she does. She was in constant contact and only a phone call away for the last 11 months. I could not have done this without her. The day went seamless because of her organization. She gave so much of her time freely that is not included in the duties of a wedding coordinator. I hope Vezalay knows what a prize they have in her and will compensate her accordingly. She will be in hot demand in the wedding business very shortly. Thank you, Sharon, for making my daughter’s wedding beyond anything she could ever imagine. My daughter and son-in-law were married at Vezalay on 6/26/2022. It was a day that I will never forget. Doug, your wedding venue is absolutely beautiful! The facilities were so nice, modern, and clean. The views are breathtaking. My daughter and son-in-law had an amazing time, and so did our families.
Our day of the event wedding coordinators (Sharon and Dan) were incredible! There is no way we would have been able to pull this off without them. They made sure that everything went smoothly from the beginning till the end. They worked so hard and are such amazing people. I've had the privilege of DJ many weddings at Vezalay, and it's a remarkable venue. Both the indoor and outdoor ceremony options boasts one of the most beautiful North Georgia mountains backdrops of any facility I've been to. Vezalay was the perfect venue for our daughter's winter wedding. Sharon and her husband went above and beyond what we expected. Sharon's husband even arranged an earlier return from a trip to help us set up an arch that he had built for the chapel ceremony. Sharon was in touch with our daughter well in advance of our arrival and was on site the day before the ceremony to meet with us and tie down every last minute issue or concern. Her warm and professional attitude put all of us at ease throughout the celebration. The venue was exactly what we had envisioned and the vendors that Sharon had recommended were excellent. I strongly recommend this lovely North Georgia mountain venue and assure you that Sharon is the attentive, experienced and professional coordinator that you can rely on for a wonderful wedding experience.

Sharon McMillan and Doug were phenomenal! Vezalay is BEAUTIFUL, and they took care of all the details. Sharon even baked cookies for our bridal party on the wedding day. We spent our wedding night in the Bridal Cottage, which was so comfortable and clean. Our guests raved about the gorgeous views. Our ceremony was in the chapel, which was elegant and had incredible views too. We loved having our wedding here and could not have asked for a better experience.

My husband and I just got married at Vezalay this weekend and it was the most perfect day all thanks to Sharon!! She was always a phone call or text away any time I needed her leading up to the wedding. She facilitated a rehearsal for us the day before, and was back at the venue early the next day with Chick-fil-A breakfast, a snack basket, and champagne for me and my girls. Our puppy was part of our wedding too and she took such good care of her all night on top of making sure our ceremony and reception ran smoothly. She even brought our pup out for the last dances and let her celebrate with us!! I cannot say enough good things about Sharon. Her husband created a timeline for us and bound it together in such a cute keepsake booklet so we will always have something to remember our day. I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had with Sharon and would recommend her to anyone!!

I got married at juliette chapel this past Thursday. Sharon McMillan was our coordinator. We did the all-inclusive package. I can't speak highly enough about Sharon. She was always available and so accommodating. She took care of EVERYTHING the day of. She coordinated all the vendors, did our walk-through of the ceremony, and did all the decor. My mother-in-law made cookies and pastries for a dessert table and Sharon even got that set up for her and it was BEAUTIFUL. My family didn't have to lift a finger and the whole day was flawless. Our timeline was exactly as it was planned and it was just an amazing day. All I had to worry about was getting ready.
We decided to eat in the bridal suite after the ceremony away from our guests so we could make sure we got to eat and take a moment to just reflect on the day. I definitely recommend taking a few moments to yourselves. Sharon made sure our caterer (Quillians.... who is also AMAZING.) Had us a plate made and brought it to us. We truly felt like royalty. Our families loved the food. Quillians even made sure to make some chicken tenders for the few kids we had. They personally made a plate for a guest who had a broken leg so he didn't have to get up. Everyone was fed in a timely manner and their plates were cleared and drinks kept full. It was everything we imagined and more. I'll be sure to post more pictures when we get them back from the photographer.

All I can say is that hiring Sharon to plan my wedding was the best decision I made and worth every penny. I just got married at Vezalay in Dahlonega, GA on June 25, 2022. I had an incredible wedding and I owe so much of that to Sharon. She is the type of person you want before and during your wedding day. She is a pleasure to deal with and goes above and beyond. She does way more than what she has to or is even paid to do. This is because she cares so much. Even her husband came to the event and helped in so many ways possible. I had planned a small wedding of 50 people and had not planned on hired a wedding coordinator. When I decided to hire Sharon, the stress of the loose ends, last minute details and hard to reach vendors was completely taken off my shoulders. To be clear she was not part of my contract with the venue except to be there to open and close the event space. Even before I hired her to coordinate my wedding, she did so much more. Sharon was extremely prompt to return calls and always made me feel like I, along with my wedding, was important. She always made me feel like she had time for me and wanted to help with anything and everything. She gave me some great advice but she also was game to do things the way I wanted to. She truly coordinated everything including all the last-minute details and changes that come up. She organized the wedding rehearsal, helped with décor set up, was on hand all evening to do anything I asked of her, (Like run and get my after-party dress and shoes for me to change into.) She even transported some guests who had no car, put the flowers on my wedding cake, kept everything on schedule and running smoothly so I could just enjoy myself and our guests. I not only recommend you hire a coordinator for your wedding, but also highly recommend you hire Sharon!

"Originally, due to a miscommunication with my venue, I thought that Sharon's services were included in the costs of my venue. When that was explained to not be true, I immediately asked her to continue to work with us though an independent contract with her company. I can 100% say that my wedding day wouldn't have been as perfect and magical as it was without her. From month of coordination, organization of vendors, creation of day-of timeline, to just answering any of my many questions, she was always responsive and helpful. On the day of the wedding, she and her husband were running nonstop to make sure everything was happening according to plan. She provided breakfast for my bridal party, coordinated and communicated with vendors, decorated my tables, did the majority of clean up, etc. Her husband was there to help with any tasks, including transporting my husband and I to and from the ceremony, helping with clean up (walking the grounds in the dark to make sure all trash was picked up) etc. There are truly not enough words to say how much they provided us. Hire Sharon to help make your day special and you will not regret it! We feel like we truly gained a family friend, as opposed to hiring someone for a service, through this process with her!"

Sharon coordinated my daughter's amazing wedding at Juliette Chapel. My daughter gave her a single picture of what she liked and Sharon built a dreamlike wedding and reception with every detail planned to perfection. She added so many special touches. The entire week of the wedding was completely stress free, because Sharon had everything under control, including the rehearsal. It allowed me to spend time with my daughter and out of town guests. Our day was so perfect, we are still on cloud nine. The venue was perfect for our intimate wedding and it was everything we dreamed of. Michael and I had the absolute best experience getting married at Juliette Chapel! Even though it rained and we temporarily lost power, Sharon and our DJ Jesse never skipped a beat and we continued to have the best night of our lives.
